Carlos is an expert percussionist, musician and singer, graduated
from the National School of Music of Cuba, in Havana, where only six
places are offered per year.
His expertise extends to music theory, techniques, performance,
improvisation, latin american and cuban rhythms, such as:
mozambique, songo, mozambique, guaguanco, conga, salsa and
many other.
He is an expert in most Classical and Folk Percussion Instruments,
such as: Timpani, Xylophone, Vibraphone, Snare Drum, Drums Kit,
Congas, Bongos, Timbales, Batas, and all minor percussion.
Carlos is a well renowned performer, musician and singer,
requested from all over Australia because of his talent and
professionalism, and is recognized as one of the best Cuban
rhythms percussionist in the country.
He has collaborated with numerous bands overseas, such as 'La
Formula', 'Ache', and 'Yahuma Son' and in Australia, with bands such
as 'Blanco Montuno', 'Rob Glaesemann Latin Descarga', 'Orquesta
del Barrio', 'La Gran Banda', 'Kenny Lopez', 'Havana' and 'Chicanos'
and also, He has participated in several radio, television and music
recordings.
Carlos has 12 years experience as a Private Percussion Instructor in
Cuba, Chile and Australia, including 2 years as a Professor of
Percussion (Classical and Folk Percussion) at the National School
of Music in Cuba.
